So I'm going to start documenting all of my derby bruises...let me warn you, there are quite a few...95% of them are self-inflicted due to me falling on my behind. Hard.
I feel like a freight train ran over me and I love it! I am so sore! Not only do my inner thighs still hurt, but now the front of my thighs, in a place I never knew could hurt, are killing me. My back is aching on both sides because we did laps going both clockwise and counter clockwise. Clockwise is hard and very awkward. I am also starting to get backward skating down, but then I fall or just simply lose momentum and stop in the middle of the floor. Not so good.
The new skates are glorious. I'll take a picture of them soon...along with my fresh bruises. Here's Bruise #3 to get you all started. It's my left knee...through knee pads. I think I fell a little too hard...I'll take another picture of it when it gets nastier looking.
